About the Role

As our Apprentice HR Administrator, you’ll be a key part of the People Team, providing high-quality administrative support across a wide range of HR activities while developing your knowledge and skills through a fully supported Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship.

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll gain real-world HR experience in a large educational trust, working alongside experienced HR professionals who are committed to helping you learn and succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be involved in the full employee lifecycle, including:

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and pre-employment checks (including DBS processes)
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR enquiries via phone and shared inboxes
  • Preparing HR letters and documentation with guidance from the team
  • Maintaining accurate staff records on HR systems and databases
  • Supporting induction and probation processes for new starters
  • Helping with HR reporting, audits and data quality checks
  • Assisting with People Team projects, wellbeing initiatives and engagement activity
  • Ensuring confidential information is handled with care, accuracy and professionalism

You’ll also play an important role in supporting safeguarding, safer recruitment, equality, diversity and inclusion, and promoting a positive and professional image of the Trust.

About You

You don’t need previous HR experience, what matters most is attitude, potential and enthusiasm.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is keen to enrol on and complete a Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship
  • Has an interest in people, HR and how organisations work
  • Is organised, reliable and has great attention to detail
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with a wide range of people
  • Can handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and keen to learn new systems
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and is open to learning and feedback

Experience in administration, customer service, education or office environments (paid or voluntary) is welcomed but not essential.
