Our working farm is a core part of school life, offering students real agricultural experience and developing their sense of responsibility, confidence, and ambition.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Farm Manager to support the daily operation and development of our farm. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the next generation of agricultural leaders.
The Role
As Assistant Farm Manager, you will support the Farm Manager in ensuring the smooth and safe running of the farm, maintaining high standards of animal welfare, and contributing to the delivery of agricultural education across the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the care and management of livestock, including daily checks, feeding, and welfare
- Supporting the delivery of practical agricultural lessons and working with students in a hands-on setting
- Helping ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and farm legislation
- Managing stock, equipment, and farm infrastructure with routine maintenance and repairs
- Supporting school and public events such as Lambing Weekend, Open Days, and agricultural shows
About You

- Passionate about farming and agricultural education
- Experienced in working with livestock and general farm operations
- Organised, proactive, and a natural problem-solver
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with young people
- Willing to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays as part of a rota
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and animals alike
