As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers with all aspects of their daily living in the comfort of their own homes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care tailored to each customer's unique needs and wishes.
  • Respect and promote the dignity of each customer, ensuring care is provided with informed consent.
  • Monitor and report any changes or concerns about a customer's condition to the line manager promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customers' personal and medical information.
  • Follow care and support plans, assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, housework, and more.
  • Engage customers in social, physical, and mental activities to promote well-being.
  • Record and report care provided, changes in condition, emergencies, and other relevant information.

Essential Criteria:
  • Caring, compassionate, and dedicated to anti-discriminatory care.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team, especially in emergencies.
  • Willingness to participate in initial and ongoing training.
Additional Requirements:
  • HAVE FULL RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK (SPONSORSHIP IS NOT OFFERED-SO DO NOT APPLY IF YOU REQUIRE THIS)
  • Full driver's licence with Class 1 business insurance and a current MOT (if using own car for business purposes).
Desirable Criteria:
  • Relevant care or health qualification.
  • Previous experience as a care assistant or unpaid carer.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health and safety matters.
  • Flexible approach to working.
