Millers Yard is a vibrant street food café kitchen located inside Mambo’s in Taunton, and we’re looking for a confident, food-loving Cook & Front of House Team Leader to join our open-kitchen operation.

This is a hands-on, combined role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working directly with customers, and can lead from the front while delivering great food.

Full time or part time hours: 30 - 45 hrs pw 

The Role

Working across both the kitchen and front of house, you will:

• Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality street food in our open kitchen

• Deliver friendly, efficient front-of-house service and create a great customer experience

• Lead by example on shift, managing food service and workflow

• Delegate tasks and support the team to keep service running smoothly

• Maintain excellent standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety

• Coordinate closely with Management and Chefs across our wider operation

• Help uphold brand standards and contribute to the growth of the business

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality

• Is a strong, positive leader with great communication skills

• Is confident working both in the kitchen and front of house

• Thrives in a busy, customer-facing environment

• Is organised, proactive, and takes pride in high standards

• Has relevant kitchen or hospitality experience (street food experience a bonus)
