Engagement & Communications Manager - Tackling Disproportionality

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engagement and Communications Officer to support the strategy for the Tackling Racial Disproportionality Steering Committee workstreams and the Independent Scrutiny Board. Addressing disproportionality and improving outcomes for underrepresented communities you will work closely with internal teams, partner organisations, and community groups.
You'll play a vital role in supporting the Constabulary and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner shaping communications that are clear, inclusive, and impactful. You'll help ensure our initiatives are not only heard but truly understood by the people we serve.

This role is blended meaning a proportion of your working week will be worked from Headquarters in Portishead, and also from your home address, to be discussed at interview. Due to the nature of the role you must be willing to work unsocial hours from time to time.
Shortlisting will take place week commencing 14th July 2025.

To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

Blended Working/ Hybrid Working

The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
