Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Location: The service encourages flexible working and is open to flexible working options. The role will be based at Dorchester Support Offices, Poundbury with the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices and we would welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you. There will be a requirement to attend your base location approximately once a week for key activities and meetings. There is also a requirement to occasionally travel across Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and South Wiltshire.

As an Operations Administrator in our Community Safety department you will:

  • Support the Service Delivery Facilitator in managing all document management systems. To maintain, input and interrogate data systems so that accurate, up to date records are available for the Group Management Team.
  • Assist with the compiling of management reports and statistical information as required to support monthly meetings.
  • Support with the allocation of community event resources e.g. prevention display kits and pride related banners/giveaways etc.

What makes you our ideal Operations Administrator?

  • 4 GCSE passes - Grade A*- C / 9 - 4, including English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualification (including L2 functional skills), or higher-level relevant qualification
  • Level 3 qualification in Business Administration, BTEC or equivalent relevant experience in an administrative role
  • Experience of organising meetings and taking minutes / recording action points

Other Information:

  • You must have a full current driving licence and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role. Use of your own vehicle will be required; however, a Service vehicle may be available. Please note Service vehicles are manual transmission only. If you are unable to drive due to a disability, we would still welcome your application and will explore any reasonable adjustments that could be put in place.
  • The role involves occasional evening and weekend working (approximately on a quarterly basis).
  • A Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken on the successful individual prior to offer of employment.
