The Role:

In this role you will oversee and coordinate the day to day running of projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring all current and newly referred residents receive high-quality, person-centred support promoting independence and emotional health and wellbeing.

We support our young people 356 days a year, 24 hours a day. Therefore this position includes:

  • 5 weekly rolling rota (includes working 2 weekends in 5 and on average 7 sleep-ins over 5 weeks).

Location: Yeovil, Weymouth, Dorchester & Ferndown

Job Type: Full-time 39hrs, Permanent

Salary:

  • Salary range between £29,354.00 - 30,570.80 (dependent on experience and including sleep in rate)
  • Sleep-in rate £55.00

 As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • In order to ensure the Senior Support Worker has the opportunity to establish and maintain direct contact and involvement with those we support, a main part of the role will be direct support with residents following the Steps To Independence support planning process.
  • A Senior Support Worker will ensure consistency in service and provide a homely environment for young people aged between 16 – 21 years old to live in, however it is imperative that all staff are involved at all levels encouraging a strong team mindset.
  • Senior Support Workers have to be diverse and flexible in their roles, they will be expected to be involved in all levels of support across the service.

About You:

  • You are passionate about making a difference in supported accommodation.
  • Ideally you will have experience in a supported accommodation setting and hold, or are working towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  •  However, we welcome those new to the field who can demonstrate a strong passion towards improving young people's lives and a desire to develop a vocation in support work.
  • You are reliable, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills.
  • A driving license is required.
