Are you passionate about sustainability and driven by data? At Modus, we’re looking for a proactive and analytical Sustainability Data Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in collecting, analysing, and reporting data to support more sustainable product development and business practices.
Role summary

This is a data focused role working across departments to drive improvements in product and operational sustainability and ensure product compliance to various standards including LEED, WELL and BREEAM. Candidates should have relevant industry experience or a degree in a relevant subject, as well as a passion for sustainability.
The position involves learning LCA software to support product LCA modelling. A flair for data, desire for accuracy and commitment to continuous learning are essential.
Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
Your role will include
—
- Collect, validate and manage supply chain data
- Create product material inventories
- Develop material library within ERP system and create environmental product summaries from bill of materials
- Model LCAs in One Click LCA (training will be provided) and work with external verifiers to create EPDs
- Analyse LCAs to identify opportunities for impact reduction in product development
- Gather scope 3 emissions data and ensure this is integrated into ERP system
- Support sales and marketing teams with product compliance information
- Respond to client requests for embodied carbon and other sustainability data, update and maintain client product libraries.

- A degree or master’s degree or relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in data management including within an ERP system
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Strong analytical skills and a solution focused mindset
- An understanding of embodied carbon and interest in materials or product development
