Teaching Assistant – Brookside Academy
37 hours per week, all year around contract
BTC Band 03 (Scales 3–4)
Actual salary - £24,795.86 per annum
About the Role
- Based in Early Years for the rest of the 2026-27 academic year, with possibility to be moved around into different year groups wherever there is need
- Support pupils in class, small groups and 1:1
- Help pupils access learning, build independence and stay safe
- Assist with learning activities, interventions and behaviour support
- Work closely with teachers to plan, monitor and record progress
- Promote inclusion, positive behaviour and safeguarding
- Support classroom organisation, resources and ICT use
What We’re Looking For
- GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade C/4+)
- Good communication and IT skills
- Experience working with children
- Calm, organised, proactive and a team player
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and professional conduct
- Desirable: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, SEND experience, recent CPD.
