Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bridgwater, UK

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

Contract Type: Contract - Temp - Perm Available

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30

Prospero Teaching are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a challenging but rewarding EBD school in Bridgwater. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one support to pupils, both inside and outside the classroom • Helping pupils to develop key skills and strategies to help them overcome their barriers to learning • Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging and stimulating lessons • Supporting pupils with personal care needs as required • Monitoring and recording pupil progress and contributing to reports and reviews • Collaborating with other professionals and parents/carers to ensure that pupils receive the best possible support and care

Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, preferably those with PMLD • A passion for working with and supporting children and young people with SEN • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team • A willingness to undertake personal care duties • A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving • A relevant qualification in SEN or education, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, is desirable but not essential
